Papamoa
Population: 20,100
Papamoa is the largest suburb of Tauranga. The area has miles of white sandy beach stretching from Mount Maunganui in the west to the Kaituna River in the east. In recent years the town has risen in popularity and new subdivisions and shopping centres have sprung up to meet the demand. The vibrant town centre now includes various shops, restaurants and cafés.
Papamoa is known for its fishing, surfing and the Papamoa Hills Cultural Heritage Regional Park with its stunning views of the area and ancient Maori pa sites. In their spare time residents also make use of several sports centres and nearby golf courses or go hiking in the native bush.
Doing business in Papamoa
Papamoa is only 13 km from the Port with easy access via the Tauranga Eastern Link, yet it still retains its coastal charm. When the Eastern Link is completed in 2016, travel times to Tauranga, Rotorua and Whakatane will be even further reduced. More than 120 ha of land is available for development in Papamoa.
