Omokoroa
Omokoroa is a small, urban area in the Western Bay of Plenty. The suburb is considered part of greater Tauranga. It started off as a small, rural holiday village but has more recently expanded to a commuter town, an easy 15 minute drive to Tauranga City. Omokoroa is growing rapidly and is expected to reach a population of 12,500 by 2020.
The town is situated on the coast and is a good spot for boating, swimming and watersports. The Omokoroa wharf is known as a top fishing spot.
Doing business in Omokoroa
Omokoroa is only 22km from the Port of Tauranga. The area is well-serviced by feeder roads from Tauranga, making freight distribution a breeze. Over 40 ha of commercial land is available for development in Omokoroa. You could have the best of both worlds: a lush, semi-rural setting but still only 15 minutes from the bustling city.
